I'm your Commission and Live Event Artist
I am a single mom artist that decided to step out of my comfort zone and pursue my passion for painting. I have always been a very creative and positive person but have also dealt with many struggles in my life. I always had the passion to inspire others through the lessons I have learned but I always felt like I wasn't doing enough.
I remember stealing my mom's drawing books when I was a little girl and learning how to draw people and animals. I spent hours and hours doing it because I loved it so much. I remember my senior year in art class, I would get lost in time as I painted an amazing waterfall, in which I still have hung on my wall today. I remember at graduation they displayed my artwork on the big projector for everyone to see and was presented with an art scholarship. I was happy. It was who I was and wanted to be. An Artist.
Life got the best of me though. I got married and had children. I changed my career to daycare and preschool teacher so I could stay home more with the kids. I eventually became a single mom who struggled financially and mentally. I ended up changing my career again and again, trying to support my family on my own. I did sales, retail, marketing, management, direct sales, photography, and finally decided to take classes through the online division at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh to better my education in art. Although I learned a lot and enjoyed the things I was doing, as I got older, I began to feel like I wasn't accomplishing anything important in life. I wasn't doing what I was passionate about, and I was living the same struggling exhausting life year after year. Not making any improvements. Not living my purpose.
One day I read a quote that said, "Our true passions emerge in childhood only to be squashed by real life pressure." I thought, how true is that. I decided to go back to when I was a child and teenager and find what made me happy. Of course, It is art. Getting back in touch with my creative side is the best thing I have done for myself. I remembered what I loved as a child and now I am doing it. although I have been an Artist my whole life, I started doing it professionally in 2019. I offered commission artwork for 5 years doing wildlife, pets, nature, landscapes, and portraits. in 2024 I decided to challenge myself and add Live wedding Painting to my services. I was introduced to this during a Christmas party and was in awe at how amazing it is. I knew this was my calling. Being able to use my talent for something so special is so honorable.
Through my artwork I plan to use the wisdom I have gained through all my experiences in life. All my struggles I overcame and all the positive and spiritual energies I have stored within me to tell your stories. Whether it is a custom painting made just for you or a Live wedding painting, I plan to inspire and impact lives through my art. Everyone needs positivity and color in their lives. Everyone needs that extra boost to keep them going when times get tough. God has our back and sticking together is what makes us stronger! Feel free to browse through my website and thank you for stopping by.
